Strengthen Global Climate Change Legislation

Please contact Connecticut Senators Dodd and Lieberman and ask them to strengthen  S2191, America’s Climate Security Act to ensure that we achieve reductions in greenhouse gas emissions that science dictates are necessary to prevent dangerous levels of global warming.  This bill will establish the basic “cap and trade” framework necessary to reduce emissions and curtail pollution that is causing global climate change.

Ask them to oppose all weakening amendments and support legislation that focuses on:

     -reduction goals based on best science;

     -economic efficiency;

     -fairness; and

     -helps to quickly transition our country to renewable energy and conservation.

S2191 should come up for a vote early in June.  Please call  Sen. Dodd at 800-334-5341 and Sen. Lieberman at 800-225-5605 NOW.
