We are excited to announce the launch of our second Student Video Contest. This year's contest theme is "VOTE! IT MATTERS." The video will encourage voters, young and old, to participate in their local elections. The League is sponsoring a student video contest as part of our "Local Government Initiative", to engage Shoreline residents more fully with their government.
The students will create a Public Service Announcement video intended to get the message out about the importance of voting in local elections that directly impact our communities. Prizes will be awarded: $150.00 for top entry; $100.00 second prize; and $50.00 third prize.
The video contest is open to any high school student or group of students (grades 9+12) who reside in Branford, North Branford, Guilford or Madison. Contest submissions must be submitted with entry and release forms by email before midnight, May 1, 2017. Winners will be announced by May 15, 2017. For contest details and forms, students can contact the League by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
